This document checklist is standard but not exhaustive. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents based on specific use cases.

   Passport

• A passport, valid for a minimum duration of six months after the departure.

• The passport must contain at least 2 blank pages.

      Photograph

• Colored passport-size photographs

• Size: 35mm x 45mm.

• Background: White.

• Taken: Within the last 6 months.

• Clarity: No blurred spots with the face and eyes visible with no headgear.

       ITR

• For the last 3 years.

       Cover Letter

• A Covering letter from the Applicant on A4 Size Paper (if Employed) or else on Business Letter Head (if Self Employed)

      Proof of sufficient funds for undertaking travel

• last six months’ bank statement, attested by a bank).

      NOC

• NOC from Employer (if employed) along with ID card copy / Business card
• Minors need a consent letter from both parents in all cases (even though a minor is travelling with both parents). The consent NOC must be on stamp paper with photos of parents and applicant and notarized

        GST Copy

• If Self Employed then applicant need to provide a GST Copy

       Flight ticket

• Applicant needs to provide confirmed flight tickets of round trip to US
• We recommend you to book tickets with cancellation policy so that just in case your visa is denied you can cancel them later

        Travel Insurance

• Travel insurance is mandatory with coverage of minimum 50,000 USD / person
• All expenses which include repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention or emergency medical treatment in hospital

      Pan card

• Kindly upload PAN card copy

       Accommodation

• Applicant must provide confirmed Hotel Voucher
• In case staying with relative/friend then there Local address in UK along with their Id proof copy

All Indian passport holders require a valid visa to enter USA.

1. Is a US visa open now in India?

    Yes, as of 2024, the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India have made appointments available for all types of visas; however, there are only a few spots available because of the high number of appointments. So, it’s best if you can apply way before your actual travel date.

2. What is the cost of a US visa from India?

    As of 2024, the cost of a US visa is INR 19,500, which includes all the additional fees. However, this can change.

3. Is a US visa difficult to get ?

    No, it’s not, especially with the sticker visa in place. It contains all your information and is placed inside the passport by the consulate or embassy. This will help reduce the paperwork, and it’s convenient to apply

4. What to do if my visa get stolen?

    You must report to the Indian Police immediately and get a police report. Also, you must provide details such as name, email address, and photocopy of the lost US visa to the Fraud Prevention Unit.

5. Is it mandatory for Indians to get travel insurance for a US visa?

    No, having travel insurance is not compulsory for a US visa application from India, but we highly recommend one. You can look at Acko Travel Insurance to find plans that fit your budget.
