This document checklist is standard but not exhaustive. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents based on specific use cases.
Passport
- Valid for 6 months beyond the last intended date of departure from Turkey
- Should contain at least 2 blank visa pages
- Should have no alteration or handwritten amendments in the data pages
Photograph
- Two recent colored passport size photographs (2.5 inch wide by 2.5 inch high without border) and taken within the last 3 months
- Applicant full face must be clearly visible without any headgear
ITR
- Income tax return assessment for the last 3 years in case the applicant is employed else need to provide income tax return of the person sponsoring your trip
- In case applicant is self employed than he also needs to provide company’s last 3 years of ITR until it’s a proprietorship firm
Cover Letter
- A Covering letter from the Applicant on A4 Size Paper (if Employed) or else on Business Letter Head (if Self Employed)
Proof of sufficient funds for undertaking travel
- Applicant needs to provide last 6 months bank statement (maintaining minimum 1,00,000 INR) signed and attested by a bank official in case the applicant is employed else need to provide bank statement of the person sponsoring your trip
- In case applicant is self employed then company’s 6 month bank statement is also required
- All bank statements must be dated within the last 1 week
NOC
- NOC from Employer (if employed) along with ID card copy / Business card
- Minors need a consent letter from both parents in all cases (even though a minor is travelling with both parents). The consent NOC must be on stamp paper with photos of parents and applicant and notarized
GST Copy
- If Self Employed then applicant need to provide a GST Copy
Invitation
- In case the applicant is invited from United Kingdom then – The valid Passport copy of the Invitee along with their financial documents & Invitation letter mentioning purpose of inviting
Flight ticket
- Applicant needs to provide confirmed flight tickets of round trip to Turkey
- We recommend you to book tickets with cancellation policy so that just in case your visa is denied you can cancel them later
Travel Insurance
- Travel insurance is mandatory with coverage of minimum 50,000 USD / person
- All expenses which include repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention or emergency medical treatment in hospital
Pan card
- Kindly upload PAN card copy
Accommodation
- Applicant must provide confirmed Hotel Voucher
- In case staying with relative/friend then there Local address in UK along with their Id proof copy
All Indian passport holders require a valid visa to enter Turkey.
Each applicant must have all the mandatory documents as mentioned in requirement tabs above.
In addition to the documents mentioned, our visa experts or the concerned embassy may require you to furnish additional documents to process your visa.Your cooperation in furnishing any such additional documents is essential for a positive outcome.

1. How much bank balance is required for Turkey visa?
If you are employed, you will be required to provide the last six months’ bank statement (with a minimum balance of 3,00,000 INR) signed and attested by a bank official; otherwise, the bank statement of the person funding your trip.
2. If my visa rejected, What can be done?
You can re-apply for a new visa after 24 hours of visa rejection. Make sure your application is complete and authentic.
3. Is travel insurance mandatory for a turkey visa?
Yes, travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 50,000 USD/person is mandatory for a Turkey visa from India.
4. Should i book my flight and hotel before applying for a Turkish visa?
Yes, you must book your flight and hotel before applying for a Turkey visa. However, we recommend refundable bookings so that if your visa is denied, you do not lose the entire amount spent on your trip or accommodation.
5. What are the types of Turkish visas available for tourism?
The standard sticker visa, which permits Indian citizens to stay in Turkey for up to 30 days and is valid for 90 days, is available for both single-entry and multiple-entry. Furthermore, if you have a UK/US/Ireland/Schengen visa, you can apply for a Turkey e-visa.
